Getting there
There are a number of ways to reach the Blue Ocean Blue Beach House
on Moreton Island.
Pack up your 4WD or off road vehicle and head to the MiCat vehicle
and passenger ferry located at Howard Smith Drive, Lytton about
1⁄2 an hour’s drive from Brisbane. The hour long trip
over to the island is really easy and the huge ferry is brand new
and well appointed for the quick trip. Go to the MiCat
ferry site for details on departure times and how to book, the
ferry travels every day and more at peak times.
If you do not have access to a 4 wheel drive or off road vehicle then you
can still easily get over to Moreton Island by catching one of the
Tangalooma Resort passenger ferries. These vessel drop off all passengers
at the Tangalooma Island Resort jetty where we can organise for a resort
shuttle bus to pick you up and transfer you to our house.
Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort has 3 high speed catamarans which
travel from Holt St, Pinkenba directly to the Tangalooma jetty every
day. Please check the Tangalooma
Wild Dolphin Resort site for the departure times.
We can also provide you with an electric 6 seat golf buggy to provide
transportation around the Tangalooma Resort.
If you are having any difficulty with the booking please don’t
hesitate to call our contact number for assistance.
